In the United States, on what date did it become socially acceptable to be only either red or blue; a member of only “us” or “them”; just “extremely right wing” or “heavy leaning left”?
When did it become a fashionable faux pas to be just a proud American, a citizen of one country and an all-encompassing social community? When did hatred and racial bias further evolve, until mere difference of opinions are expressed with such rancor and hatred that some commentators have made absolute fortunes providing the catalysts for promotion of this expansion of prejudice.
Neither any one individual belief nor any single group of thought can be perfect. There have been many individuals and groups who would have you believe otherwise. Perfection, though an elusive goal, sought by many, may never be truly achieved. It is the wonder of diversity, the mystery of though and imagination and the basis of a successful civilization.
Humans, as a whole, face enough adversity in just the changing evolution of the planet Earth, and we might better be served by working together to adjust to or be prepared for all that Mother Nature has in store for us in the next fifty years and more.
“Hatred” in every aspect of life or opinion is like a cancer eating away at civilization. “Fear” is used to attempt to force otherwise weak and insignificant individual’s control over the majority, when the latter is somewhat divided. “Greed” grows corruption and a leech mentality that breeds the rise of bottom-feeders with nothing to offer but discontent.
Why do I ask? Because I care. Does anyone else?

“Forward One.” Boomed Ada, the manager of the Leather Goods store, in an upscale London shopping district, and one of the timid sales girls hurried forward to help the notably tattooed man who’d just entered the store. He asked to see a fine, brown leather wallet, for a gift. She ushered him into the back section, laid out several wallets on the counter and as he bent forward to admire them, she reached out and quickly drove a hypodermic needle into his upper arm. He lost consciousness almost immediately. There was a special on tanned, tattooed beige wallets, next week.
As the sun rose, Elly Mae opened the door, spit her tobacco juice, zapping the fly on the edge of the porch railing, scratched her ass and sighed. The smell of pigs wallow floated up on the breeze and the cow was bellowing to be milked. Her husband hadn’t stirred on the porch swing, his legs propped up and over the arm of the bench, as she had left him the night before. He’d smacked her up the side of the face one to many times. The knife was still buried deep in his chest. Just another day in Paradise.
If a waiter stopped by right now to take your order, what cocktail or drink are you having?

He ate slowly, his tongue savoring every flavor, his mind wandering through kitchens of delight with every morsel. This had to be heaven on earth. It was the culmination of thirty years of dreams to be there, experiencing the ambience of the room, the culinary wonders of so talented a chef. He reached for yet another dish and gently forked another culinary emotion to his lips, four chews and bursts of flavors incredible. His father had assured him. If he had to be executed in the morning, surely it would be more than foolish not to enjoy that last meal.

Video games are in big part to blame for such as the recent University massacre - You are given play guns, knives, swords, machetes and who knows what other weaponry - tanks, gunships, rockets, razors, rocks and clubs - and at the simple click of the controller (as fast as you can click 'em) the players get used to shooting and mutilating people - degrading women, beating the system - at so early an age (here they do, at least - where most five year olds get copies of the "adult" video shockers from their parents - there are even games showing how to mutilate pets ). By the time the kids are in their teens they are dumbed down (except for fast reaction times) and hardened - many (no, not all) so hardened they wouldn't cross the street to help old granny who fell and broke her nose - add depression and paranoia and schizophrenia - parents that don't give a damn or never learned to - and you are a time bomb waiting to take out all those around you who seem to have more than you..............
When are people going to get it? We have cyclical Real Estate Markets - a normal Market is 3 years up, half a year in the highest range and then again, three years down, half a year in the lowest range. This Market Cycle can be affected by other economic factors - and in the current case, the greed of the sub-prime lending industry (also goaded on by some major bank participation) has talked hundreds of thousands of good, hard working families and individuals into buying homes beyond their normal means, using teaser rates to talk them in to the transactions, with several to five to ten years of low, interest only or very low payments - that for many are now coming due to change to the rising adjustable rates - and Foreclosures are growing like weeds in a rose garden - home values - already dropping notably, are about to plummet and even more foreclosures will ensue as people run from homes that are well below, in value, what the mortgage is. Some were even allowed to get into worse situations when their homes, back then still on the rise in value, allowed for refinancing to buy that SUV or swimming pool or vacation. Now so many mortgages are well over what the property can sell for.
If there is still the opportunity - EVERYONE who is not an investor just out to flip houses, should get a fixed rate loan NOW. Don't wait until the Adjustable Rate (ARM) kicks in. Bite the bullet and pay the fixed rate monthly mortgage - don't try to get interest only - or the three and four way loans - you'll only get into more trouble. GET A FIXED RATE 30 YEARS LOAN. Don't worry about the value of the home later dropping below your mortgage owed. THE MARKET IS CYCLICAL and it hasn't failed yet - to turn around and when it does, it tops out higher than the last cyclical high. It doesn't matter - if you can make the fixed rate mortgage payments - keep paying them - stay with the game and just hang in there..........the property, the neighborhood, the Market in general will turn around and rise again - and those who dug in for the long haul will be rewarded. If you read this and have friends who are worrying about their adjustable rate mortgages - or the value of their home, copy this and pass it on. If you want to discuss it further - contact me. Appraiser@FastAppraisalValue.com. I am a Broker & Appraiser - I'll answer any question I can (barring Legal Advice). It is time the truth came out - I have been, for a year and a half, warning of this coming major drop in the Real Estate Market Values and of the current and impending foreclosures - and telling everyone I can to get into fixed rate 30 years mortgages. Even a 40 year mortgage would be fine. Later, you can pay extra - to shorten the term to 30 or 15, but for now - get into a fixed rate while the rates can be achieved down around (+-) 6%.
